A grand celebration of Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage and artisanal brilliance is set to take place at the Bangladesh Heritage Fashion Festival–2025, scheduled from Thursday, 15 May to Saturday, 17 May 2025, at the Elite Convention Hall, Rajuk Hatirzill Management Complex, Gulshan–Tejgaon Link Road, Dhaka. The event will be open daily from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM (BST).
Organized by SAMs Event in association with BGMEA, and supported by NASCIB, the festival aims to promote traditional handcraft industries and provide a dynamic platform for entrepreneurs across Bangladesh to showcase their talent and products.
The festival will feature a diverse range of stallholders, carefully selected to represent the heritage and innovation of Bangladeshi crafts. Entrepreneurs and artisans from the following sectors are invited to participate:
Weaving Industry – including traditional crafts such as Jamdani, Muslin, Rajshahi Silk, Manipuri, Rangamati, and Tangail weaving.
Pottery Artisans – featuring items like Teppa Dolls, Shokher Hari, and Terracotta works.
Khadi & Gamcha Cloth Developers – highlighting indigenous textiles and contemporary adaptations.
Handicraft Innovators – showcasing Nakshi Kantha, Shatranji, and other heritage crafts.
Eco-product Entrepreneurs – offering products made from Jute, Cane, Hogla, and Shitalpati.
Creative Fusion Designers – blending Leather, Jute, Jamdani, Khadi, and other native materials into innovative fashion and utility items.
Participants will have the option to book from a variety of stall sizes:
Stall Size 1: 7 ft × 7 ft = 49 sq ft
Stall Size 2: 8 ft × 10 ft = 80 sq ft
Stall Size 3: 8 ft × 12 ft = 96 sq ft
Each stall will be equipped with a 3 ft × 6 ft table, provided to support product display and customer interaction.
This three-day festival not only aims to preserve and promote the cultural legacy of Bangladesh but also to empower local entrepreneurs by connecting them with a broader audience. By providing a commercial and cultural platform, the festival is expected to boost the visibility of handcrafted products, create networking opportunities, and inspire innovation within traditional industries.
