Popular Bangladeshi television actress Ahona Rahman has recently found herself at the center of controversy surrounding her past relationship. Actor Shamim Hasan Sarkar, during a press conference, revealed that he was in a seven-month-long relationship with Ahona. He further accused her of “double-timing,” stating that she was involved with another man at the same time.

Shamim clarified that he is not the “inhuman ex” Ahona mentioned in a recent interview that went viral on social media. In that interview, Ahona said, “My ex is a monster… an extremely inhuman person. After meeting him, I lost faith in people.” Many netizens speculated Shamim was the person she referred to, prompting Shamim to deny the claim publicly.

According to Shamim, the individual Ahona was referring to is Mehdi Hasan Hridoy, the director of the film Borbaad. He claimed that Ahona had a five-year-long relationship with Hridoy and that he (Shamim) entered her life much later.

In response, Ahona posted a statement on Facebook, challenging Shamim’s version of the events. She wrote, “‘Double-timing’? Are you sure what you said is true? Are you blaming me to cover up your own faults?” She also requested media outlets not to drag her into stories unrelated to her and to avoid using her name in misleading headlines.

Separately, Shamim Hasan Sarkar has also been accused by actress Priyanka Priya of serious misconduct. In her allegations, she claimed that Shamim verbally abused her on set, physically assaulted her, and even threatened her with rape — all allegedly under the influence of drugs.

Shamim has denied all accusations and held a press conference asserting his innocence.
