Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, appears to be building his own universe—at least when it comes to family. With a total of 14 children from four different women, Musk’s growing brood has drawn public attention. We’re diving into the truth about the mothers of his children.

While Musk isn’t exactly venturing into uncharted territory, the sheer number of children he’s fathered has even surprised his own daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson. Vivian—one of six children Musk shares with his first wife, Justine Wilson—shared in a March interview with Teen Vogue that she’s lost count of her siblings.

“I will say I do not actually know how many siblings I have, if you include half-siblings,” she admitted. “That’s just a fun fact. It’s really good for two truths and a lie.” This candid remark highlighted the estrangement between father and daughter.

As it stands, the tally is 14 children. However, Musk has noted that he’s uncertain about the paternity of one child—7-month-old Romulus, son of conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair.

“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out,” the 53-year-old posted on X (formerly Twitter) on March 31. “No court order is needed.”

Regardless of the uncertainty, Musk revealed he has financially supported St. Clair. “Despite not knowing for sure,” he continued, “I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

St. Clair, meanwhile, appears determined to raise her son independently. In a Daily Mail video, she was seen handing over the keys to her $100,000 Tesla and stated, “I need to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son’s child support.” She reportedly also declined an eight-figure deal that would have required her to keep Musk’s identity confidential.

“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment,” said the children’s book author, who filed for sole custody in February. “For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy and refrain from invasive reporting.”

Interestingly, Romulus is not Musk’s youngest. In February, artificial intelligence specialist Shivon Zilis announced the birth of her fourth child with Musk—Seldon Lycurgus. He joins his 13-month-old sister Arcadia and 3-year-old twin brothers Strider and Azure.

“In light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus,” Zilis posted on X. “Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much.”

With so many children across different families, Musk has certainly built quite the squad—and each new addition adds another chapter to his growing legacy.
