Actress Shobnom Bubly has been showered with praise for her performance in the film Jongli, which was released during Eid. In recognition of her contribution to cinema, she was recently honored with the Alokito Nari Sommanona (Enlightened Woman Award) as a film actress.
The award ceremony took place on Saturday at Lions Tower in Agargaon, Dhaka. Bubly received the honorary crest titled Alokito Nari Sommanona Smarak 2025 from the revered Ekushey Padak-winning actress Dilara Zaman.
Bubly also shared the news with her fans on social media, writing, “Love and respect to all the women in the world.”
She added, “Receiving recognition for one’s work always brings immense joy. It’s a great source of encouragement to do even better. But when an event celebrates the achievements of successful women in a special way, it feels even more meaningful. As a woman, this is truly a moment of pride and honor. And to receive this award from our living legend, the respected Dilara Zaman ma’am, makes it even more special.”
Regarding her film Jongli, Bubly said, “From the very first day, Jongli has been receiving love. Families are coming to watch it together — as an artist, that brings me immense happiness. I believe this feeling will linger for a long time.”
Meanwhile, Bubly’s production company, Big Productions, is set to begin work on new projects soon. She has also recently modeled in a commercial for Tibet Luxury Soap, directed by Sanak Mitra.
