Dhaka, May 8, 2025: Cultural organization Chhayanaut is set to host a two-day Rabindra Festival in celebration of the birth anniversary of the world-renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore. The event will take place on the 25th and 26th of Boishakh 1432 (May 8 and 9, 2025 — Thursday and Friday) at 6:30 PM at the Chhayanaut Auditorium in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The organization has announced that the event is open to all. The festival will feature performances of Tagore’s songs, recitations of his poetry and prose, discussions, and dance dramas. Alongside Chhayanaut’s performers, prominent Rabindra Sangeet singers, reciters, and cultural figures from across the country will also participate.
Organizers stated that one of the primary goals of the festival is to help the younger generation engage more deeply with Rabindranath Tagore’s literature, music, and humanist philosophy.
As in previous years, Chhayanaut’s Rabindra Festival is being regarded as a significant cultural event in the Bengali calendar. The announcement has already sparked great interest among literature and culture enthusiasts.
