Junglee, directed by M Rahim, is gradually gaining popularity among audiences despite being released in a limited number of theaters. By its fourth week of release, the film is now being screened in 27 theaters across Bangladesh. Simultaneously, on April 25, the movie was also released in 33 theaters across Canada and the United States. Within the first three days of its North American release, Junglee earned approximately USD 35,000 in ticket sales.

Oliullah Sajib, president of the film’s distribution company Swapno Scarecrow, shared on social media that this initial box office performance brings back memories of another popular Bangladeshi film, Priyotoma. That film earned USD 44,000 from 42 theaters in North America during its first three days and eventually grossed a total of USD 132,000.

According to Sajib, “Junglee” is evoking a similar emotional response from viewers as “Priyotoma” did. People are leaving theaters with teary eyes, and this emotional impact is being observed not just in Bangladesh but abroad as well.

He added, “Junglee is providing a wonderful box office experience. Whether it can reach the USD 100,000 milestone will become clearer by the end of its first week.”

Starring Siam Ahmed, Shobnom Bubly, Dighi, and child actress Nairita, the film is jointly produced by Tiger Media and MIB Studios.
